Katie Barrick-Jones received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida State University and graduated from the University of Maryland-Baltimore as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She invested over a decade in the hospital setting before returning to school during the COVID-19 pandemic to further her education. Driven by a passion for mental health, she became a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Katie has experience with substance abuse in partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient, and outpatient settings. She also specializes in the diagnosis and management of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in addition to anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders. She believes promoting education regarding mental health is a key component to management and recovery.
Outside of her professional life, Katie is a devoted wife and mother of four, balancing her career and family with grace. She shares her home with two playful cats, Spaz and Xena, and a gentle Great Pyrenees dog named Yeti. Katie is committed to providing compassionate care and support to her patients, helping them navigate their mental health journeys.
