Mr. Aldin Gordon is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with approved supervisor status in substance abuse, marriage and family therapy, art therapy and mental health treatment in the state of MD. He is also licensed as Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of GA. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2003 and then went on to Canisius College in Buffalo, New York where he earned his Master’s Degree in 2007 in Educational Counseling. Mr. Gordon completed his Post Master’s education at Coppin State University in Baltimore, Maryland in 2011.
Mr. Gordon has more than twenty years of diverse, dynamic experience providing adolescents, adults, couples and families with education, substance abuse and mental health treatment service; as well as the promotion of school violence prevention, child abuse prevention and the promotion of sexual health for consumers. He began his career working in an Intensive Outpatient Substance Abuse Program (IOP) in Buffalo, New York. After relocating to Baltimore, Maryland in 2008, he worked in Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Outpatient (OP), provided Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT), he also worked in various outpatient settings such as In Home therapy, correctional facilities Crisis Response as both a clinician as well as a supervisor. Currently, he owns and serves as a therapist, preceptor, supervisor/manager, mentor and EAP provider at AMA Transitional Services in Baltimore, Md.
His theoretical framework includes mindfulness (be in the present, CBT (Recognize options without judgements), Erik Erikson (Stages of Development), Adler (Family Dynamics), Harm Reduction; Replacement Behavior, etc. Mr. Gordon’s current interest includes EAP, Financial wellness therapy and Gambling Addictions.
